There are few orientation problems in Serfaus. There is a big car park at the entrance to the village and the underground rail connection and the road access to hotels run in pretty much a straight line (with some side roads) until they reach the ski lifts and the slopes.

The underground railway stops at the parking garage, the village church, the 'centre' and the base lift station during peak hours in the direction of maximum traffic flow. (In other words, the trains stop at all four stations going into the lifts in the morning and at the lifts and the garage coming out, with the direction reversed in the afternoon).

Fiss is often the first village that travellers see in the ski area and it boasts a stunning position on a sunny balcony overlooking the glaciers and mountains on the other side of the Inn valley.

The road to Serfaus skirts to the south past the outskirts of Fiss, while those travellers headed to Ladis will take a turning just before the village which heads past the small hamlet of the Fisser Höfe.

Like Serfaus, Fiss boasts a good mix of upmarket and family hotels - most of which are within easy reach of the ski lifts and the centre of the small village.

Ladis is a lovely small village with its buildings clustered at the base of the Burg Laudegg fortification. It is less developed as a tourist destination than its two neighbours and this is part of the charm for the many regular visitors.

The access into the ski area rises from the edge of the top of the village and links into the main Fiss ski area.

The route to Ladis is either via the wider main road to Fiss and then through the Fisser Höfe, or by taking a turn to the right at the base of the hill and driving up the narrower direct road to the village.
