The atmosphere at the Glungezer near Hall-Wattens in Tyrol is traditional, cosy and relaxed.
The imposing 2677 metre high Glungezer rises south of the river Inn near the former historic town of Hallin Tirol.
Much has changed in recent years for this small ski area near Innsbruck with magnificent views and rustic huts. A new ten-seater gondola lift which came into operation last winter brings skiers faster up the mountain.
There are several pistes to choose from, for example the fifteen-kilometre-long downhill run, one of the longest in Tyrol. Those who want to relax in this quiet winter idyll can book the “Relaxed Skiing” package, which includes four overnight stays and a four-day ski pass on the Glungezer.
Tip: With the “Schatzkarte”, the name of the regional guest card, guests can travel as far as Innsbruck free of charge on the region’s buses. The guest card also offers discounts as part of the weekly programme, for example, guided tours of Hall and certain museums as well as winter and snowshoe hikes.
